Amina TIJANI, President and founder of NanoServe

Amina Tijani received her PhD in chemistry of materials at the University of Montpellier (France). She then worked at Ciba-Geigy in Basel in the field of homogeneous catalysis for the pharmaceutical industry. Her work includes five international patents filed between 1993 and 2005.

Attracted to the field of biology, Amina has contributed to the draft inducers of Novartis and obtained a second doctorate in Biochemistry at the University of Basel under the guidance of Prof. Edwin Constable. Involved in the field of nanotechnology since 2000, Amina has participated in the implementation of one of the pioneers of nanotechnology in Switzerland.

Challenged by the field of nanoparticles and nanomaterials, Amina interested in 2003 to the fundamental aspect of these new tools, and more particularly to the understanding of their mode of action and interaction with biological system. Her work brought her to participate in several research projects related to nanomaterials and nanotoxicity.
